APPOINTMENT
Atlas Air has announced the appointment of Klaus Goersch as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Goersch will report directly to Michael Steen, the CEO, and he will play a crucial role as a member of the Company’s Executive Leadership Team.
Mr. Goersch will be joining Atlas in late December, where he will manage the company's global flight, ground, and technical operations. His responsibilities will include overseeing safety, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enhancing operational performance. As the primary liaison with the Federal Aviation Administration, Mr. Goersch will lead strategic initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency while maintaining Atlas's renowned safety standards.

“His proven track record of successfully managing complex airline operations, combined with his strong regulatory background and focus on operations efficiency, makes him ideally suited to help drive Atlas’ continued transformation and growth.”
Mr. Goersch brings nearly 30 years of experience in the aviation industry. Most recently, he served as the Chief Operating Officer at Air India. Prior to that, he was the Chief Operating Officer at both British Airways and Air Canada. Additionally, he held the position of CEO at NEOM Airlines in Saudi Arabia and served as Executive Vice President at AirTran Airways.

Mr. Goersch received a Master of Aeronautical Science and a Bachelor of Science in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
