APPOINTMENT
The Government of India has announced the appointment of Dr Srivatsa Krishna, IAS, as the new Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism.
Dr Krishna succeeds V Vidyavathi, IAS who has been appointed as Secretary of the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment.
Dr Krishna holds a postgraduate degree in International Studies from Jawaharlal Nehru University, a PhD in Management from Indian Institute of Technology Madras, and an MBA from Harvard University.
He has also worked in key secretarial and administrative roles at renowned government organizations including World Bank Group, Coffee Board of India, IIT Madras and IIM, Bangalore.
Dr Krishna’s global exposure includes a senior strategy role at the World Bank Group in Washington D.C., where he worked across finance, risk, and development programs.
