Hilton Garden Inn Expands in Busan with New Mixed-Use Development

Hilton has signed a franchise agreement with MS&C Co., Ltd. to open the Hilton Garden Inn Busan Gijang in 2028. The hotel will be located in Gijang, Busan, as part of a mixed-use development project.

Clarence Tan, Senior Vice President, Development, Asia Pacific, Hilton, said the agreement highlights South Korea’s importance as a growth market for the company. He added that Busan Gijang is seeing rising demand for accommodation due to growth in tourism and healthcare services.

The hotel will include 111 guest rooms, an all-day dining restaurant, a café and lounge, a fitness centre, a swimming pool, and spa and sauna facilities.

The property will be located close to several attractions in Busan, including Haedong Yonggungsa, Lotte World Adventure Busan and Shinsegae Busan Premium Outlets.

Joseph Khairallah, Area Vice President and Head of Japan, Korea & Micronesia, Hilton, said the hotel is expected to benefit from Busan’s growing appeal among leisure travellers and medical tourists.

Noh Dae Hyun, Chairman of MS&C Co., Ltd., said the project aims to combine hospitality, wellness, and residential experiences while leveraging Gijang’s location and infrastructure.

Hilton Garden Inn is one of Hilton’s upscale hotel brands, offering accommodation, food and beverage services, and facilities designed for business and leisure travellers.
