Nepal Tourism Board Receives PATA Long Standing Membership Award
Nepal Tourism Board has been awarded the Long Standing Membership Award by Pacific Asia Travel Association, marking 60 years of association with the organisation.

Nepal Tourism Board Honoured with PATA Membership Award

The award was presented on May 11, 2026, during the PATA Annual Summit 2026 held in Gyeongju and Pohang. The recognition was accepted by Rohini Khanal, officiating director of the board.

The award acknowledges the tourism board’s sustained engagement with Pacific Asia Travel Association and its role in regional tourism initiatives, including cooperation, destination promotion and sustainable tourism development.
In addition to the national tourism body, representatives from Nepal’s private sector were also recognised during the event. Yeti Travels was acknowledged for its long-term partnership, while Suman Pandey, a PATA life member, received recognition for his contribution to the industry.
The PATA Annual Summit 2026 brought together tourism stakeholders, policymakers and industry representatives from across the Asia-Pacific region to discuss issues related to tourism growth, resilience and sustainability.
