Debalina Duttagupta Appointed as Director of Rooms at JW Marriott Kolkata

JW Marriott has announced the appointment of Debalina Duttagupta as Director of Rooms at JW Marriott Kolkata.

Debalina brings over 10 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with a focus on rooms operations, pre-opening processes, revenue management, and team leadership.

Prior to this role, she served as Rooms Division Manager at JW Marriott Prestige Golfshire Resort & Spa, where she was involved in pre-opening and operational stabilisation. Her responsibilities included overseeing operational processes and managing a team of more than 50 associates.

Her previous experience also includes roles at Sheraton Grand Bangalore Hotel at Brigade Gateway and Bengaluru Marriott Hotel Whitefield, where she handled front office operations, guest engagement, and revenue-related initiatives.

Debalina was among the top contenders for Front Office Manager of the Year in the Luxury to Upper Upscale category at the Hotelier India Awards 2023. She is an alumna of Edinburgh Napier University.

In her new role, she will oversee the rooms division, including guest services, operational processes, and service delivery standards.

Her appointment reflects ongoing efforts within the hospitality sector to strengthen leadership across guest-facing operational functions.
