Daniel Aylmer, Chief Executive Officer, IHG Greater China, said the company’s continued growth reflects the strength of its multi-brand portfolio and long-term partnerships with hotel owners. He added that each new opening supports IHG’s strategy of providing consistent hospitality experiences across different travel segments.

New Hotels in Key Cities

IHG will expand its presence in several gateway cities with the opening of InterContinental Shenzhen ICSZ, InterContinental Taipei, and Holiday Inn Shanghai NECC (National Exhibition and Convention Center).

The company will also open Holiday Inn Express Shenzhen Bay, Holiday Inn Express Shanghai North Bund Riverside, and Holiday Inn Express Beijing Daxing Xihongmen, strengthening its network in business and transport-focused locations.

Lifestyle Brand Expansion

IHG will continue to grow its lifestyle and conversion brands with the launch of Garner Hotels in Chongqing Jiefangbei and Wuxi Qingming Bridge.

The company will also introduce Atwell hotels in Guangzhou Pazhou, Nanjing Xinjiekou and Hangzhou Wulin, catering to growing domestic travel demand with contemporary accommodation in city centres.

New Destination Hotels

Further expansion includes the opening of Kimpton Nine Trees Shanghai, bringing the Kimpton brand to one of Shanghai’s cultural districts.

IHG will also open Hotel Indigo Jingdezhen Taoxichuan, Hotel Indigo Quanzhou Ancient Town, Crowne Plaza Suzhou Taihu Lake, and EVEN Hotel Jingdezhen Taoxichuan, with each property reflecting local culture, leisure or wellness-focused travel experiences.

The company said these developments support its continued expansion across Greater China, where it currently operates 14 brands with more than 1,500 hotels open and in the pipeline across over 200 cities.
