Hyatt Advances Essentials Portfolio Growth Across New Markets in the Americas
Hyatt Hotels Corporation is continuing to expand its Essentials portfolio, marked by several development milestones across the Americas. The company has signed more than 20 new Hyatt Select deals in 2025 and reached 70 total executed hotel deals for Hyatt Studios since the brand’s launch, reflecting steady growth in new and underserved markets.
Expanding market presence
Hyatt’s Essentials portfolio is structured around flexible development models and operational efficiency, supporting growth across a range of market types.
Recent openings and signings include the second Hyatt Studios hotel in Huntsville, offering extended-stay accommodation with apartment-style suites, kitchens, and workspaces. The company has also expanded Hyatt Place internationally, with new hotels in Cancún, Mérida, and Toronto.
These additions reflect Hyatt’s focus on scaling its brands in markets with limited existing presence, while broadening its footprint in key urban and travel corridors.
Pipeline development

Hyatt’s 2025 Essentials pipeline shows continued momentum in the United States. Around 50% of new U.S. Essentials deals signed this year represent entry into entirely new markets for Hyatt. Among these is a Hyatt Place hotel planned for Missoula, expected to open in 2027.
The Hyatt Studios brand continues to expand its pipeline, with signed deals across several new U.S. locations, including Macon, Danville, Frankfort, Elizabethtown, Glacier Country, and Lafayette.
The Hyatt Select brand, positioned as a conversion-friendly option for shorter stays, has executed more than 20 deals in 2025. Meanwhile, Unscripted by Hyatt recently opened Latitude Suites in Tinton Falls, with additional properties in Allentown and Durango planned for 2026 and 2027.
Dan Hansen, Global Head of Growth Operations & Strategy at Hyatt, said the company’s development strategy focuses on aligning the right brands with the right markets, allowing owners to enter new Hyatt markets while expanding the network for guests.
Role of World of Hyatt
All Essentials portfolio hotels are integrated into World of Hyatt, supporting demand through member engagement and repeat stays. In 2025, Hyatt’s Stay More, Earn More campaign generated more than 900,000 room nights across Hyatt Place, Hyatt House, and Hyatt Studios properties, underscoring the loyalty-driven demand for the Essentials brands.
Through continued expansion into new markets, Hyatt is leveraging its Essentials portfolio to expand brand presence, support owners’ opportunities, and strengthen network reach for guests and loyalty members across the Americas.
