“Come and say G’day!” says Tourism Australia in its new campaign with cricketer Pat Cummins.

Visit Australia

Tourism Australia has launched a new ad campaign to invite Indians to visit the land down under. The latest ad campaign features a couple standing outside the cricket stadium, all geared up for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (a five-Test series between Australia and India to be held in Perth, Western Australia starting November 22, 2024).

“Let’s just let the cricket do the talking, huh?” the Indian couple boldly states in the video, to which Pat Cummins replies, “We will!” Tourism Australia’s mascot then goes on to talk about how the Test series will see Australia put on “a show like never seen before” and invites the same guests to see the wonders that Australia, as a tourism destination, offers.

Tourism Australia also announced a new content series earlier this month

Earlier this month, Tourism Australia also announced a new social content series starring former Australian cricketer David Warner to invite Indian travellers to the land down under. The series showcased the cricketer walking the viewers through some of his favourite Australian holiday destinations and experiences in Sydney, Melbourne, and the Gold Coast.

“There is no doubt that India is one of the world’s fastest growing economies and with a population of more than 1.4 billion, the country will play a vital role in global tourism over the coming decade,” Tourism Australia’s managing director, Phillipa Harrison, had stated as she launched the campaign with David Warner. “We are already seeing Indian travellers visit Australia in greater numbers than ever before and with improved aviation links between our two countries we want to see that continue to track in the right direction.”
