Envisioned as retreats for rest and relaxation, both bedrooms overlook the expanse of the Andaman Sea, with greens adding a splash of tropical enchantment. Led by Singapore-based Brewin Design Office, the redesign project honours the strong familial ties at the core of Langkawi’s history and mythology. Evoking the warmth of a family home, each villa is instilled with a strong local vernacular and layered with intergenerational memories. A vaulted ceiling with timber rafters expands the interiors of the living room, while a customised pendant light casts a calming influence over the dining table. Over in the primary bedroom, a custom-woven rattan artwork reflects the patterns seen in the homes of local fishermen. Carefully chosen details connect travellers with the subtle rhythms of island life, using materials that echo Langkawi’s centuries-old design traditions.

As part of the recent refurbishment, the Resort has also unveiled a new look and feel across several key areas, including the Courtyard, Greeting Pavilion, Rhu Bar and Serai. A fresh palette of orange, green and beige brings a new warmth and energy to the aesthetic, complementing the ubiquitous blues of ocean and sky.
