Hilton Expands Footprint in Makkah with Two New Hotel Openings
Hilton has announced the opening of two new hotels in Makkah, strengthening its presence in the Holy City and expanding accommodation options for pilgrims and visitors. The newly launched properties include DoubleTree by Hilton Makkah Aziziyah and Wirgan Al Noor, Tapestry Collection by Hilton. Both hotels are owned by Wirgan Hospitality.

The openings nearly double Hilton’s portfolio in Makkah and reflect continued investment in hospitality infrastructure to support the city’s growing visitor demand.
Mohamed Lotfy, cluster general manager, DoubleTree by Hilton Makkah Aziziyah and Wirgan Al Noor, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, said, “We are delighted to open these two exceptional properties in Makkah, each thoughtfully designed to offer guests comfort, convenience, and a welcoming atmosphere during their stay in the Holy City. Our teams at DoubleTree by Hilton Makkah Aziziyah and Wirgan Al Noor, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, are committed to delivering a warm, memorable experience for every guest.”
Wirgan Al Noor, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

With 1,386 rooms and suites, Wirgan Al Noor is the first Tapestry Collection by Hilton property in Makkah and the largest operating hotel in the brand’s global portfolio. The hotel is located near the historic Hira Cave and is less than a 15-minute drive from Masjid Al Haram.

The property combines contemporary design with locally inspired elements and offers facilities including an all-day dining restaurant, coffee shop, two ballrooms, eight meeting rooms, a fitness centre, and a kids’ club. The hotel is positioned as a large-scale accommodation option catering to both leisure and group travel.

DoubleTree by Hilton Makkah Aziziyah

Located in the eastern part of the Al Aziziyah district, DoubleTree by Hilton Makkah Aziziyah is approximately five minutes from Masjid Al Haram and close to Hira Cave. The hotel features 381 rooms and suites and offers Hilton’s DoubleTree brand experience, including its signature welcome cookie.
Amenities include an all-day dining restaurant serving international and local cuisine, a lobby café, a fitness centre, and meeting rooms designed to support business and group needs.
Both hotels participate in the Hilton Honors loyalty programme, allowing members to access benefits such as flexible points-and-cash bookings, member-exclusive discounts, and mobile app features when booking directly through Hilton’s official channels.
With these additions, Hilton continues to broaden its accommodation offerings in Makkah, addressing a range of guest needs while supporting the city’s role as a major global pilgrimage destination.
