Eight Continent Hotels & Resorts has announced the appointment of Debabrata Ray as General Manager at Hanric by Eight Continents – Nainital.
A seasoned hospitality professional and an entrepreneur as well, Debabrata hold over 19 years of international hospitality experience spanning across luxury hotels, cruises, fine dining, and QSR.
His core expertise lies in cost optimisation, business scalability, and team leadership which will help the hotel to elevate their operations and guest experiences.
Debabrata has held leadership and consulting roles in both corporate and entrepreneurial capacities. He has worked in operational and strategic roles across restaurants, hotels, resort developments, and investment advisory firms. His experience spans brands such as Hyatt Regency, Norwegian Cruise Line, Yum! Brands – Pizza Hut, Speciality Restaurants Pvt. Ltd., and WelcomHeritage Hotels, among others.
In his new role as General Manager at Hanric by Eight Continents Hotels and Resorts, Debabrata will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, maintenance, and guest services.
He will also focus on staff leadership, training, and performance monitoring to ensure consistent service quality. Additionally, the position requires active coordination with corporate leadership, vendors, and local stakeholders to drive business growth, manage costs, and enhance overall guest satisfaction.
