Sarovar Hotels & Resorts

Sarovar Hotels & Resorts is a prominent chain of hotels and resorts strategically located across various regions in India, catering to a diverse clientele. Founded in 1994 by Anil Madhok, an industry veteran with prior experience managing the prestigious Oberoi Hotels, Sarovar aimed to fill a significant gap in the mid-market hotel segment within the Indian hospitality landscape. Over the years, Sarovar has expanded its portfolio to include a variety of properties, ranging from urban hotels to scenic resorts, reflecting the diverse needs of its customers. In 2015, Sarovar Hotels & Resorts became part of the Groupe du Louvre, which is a well-established name in the hospitality industry. This merger was further solidified when Groupe du Louvre was acquired by Jinjiang International, a major player in the global hotel industry, which is under the ownership of the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government. This acquisition has allowed Sarovar to tap into greater resources and enhance its offerings, further solidifying its presence in the competitive Indian market.
