Emirates SkyCargo Expands Network To Toronto Pearson
Emirates SkyCargo has introduced a weekly freighter service to Toronto Pearson Airport, strengthening air cargo links between Canada and the UAE. The service is designed to support trade flows and provide additional capacity for Canadian exporters.
The new route connects Dubai World Central Airport with Toronto via Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, offering onward connectivity across Emirates SkyCargo’s global network.
Emirates SkyCargo Toronto Service Supports Trade And Capacity Growth

According to Badr Abbas, Divisional Senior Vice President at Emirates SkyCargo, the addition of Toronto aligns with the airline’s plans to expand its freighter network in response to evolving trade routes. He noted that exports from Canada to the UAE have shown steady growth, supported by direct air connectivity and trade relations.
The weekly freighter service adds around 100 tonnes of export capacity, complementing the cargo space available on Emirates’ passenger flights between Dubai and Toronto. The service also supports cargo movement between Canada and Europe through its Amsterdam stop.

Kurush Minocher, Chief Commercial Officer at Toronto Pearson, said the new service enhances the airport’s role in connecting Canadian businesses with international markets.
The route is expected to support exports such as pharmaceuticals, fresh produce, electronics, and general cargo, including time-sensitive shipments. It also facilitates the movement of goods from Europe to Canada in the inbound sector.
Emirates SkyCargo has been operating cargo services linked to Canada since the launch of passenger flights to Toronto in 2007. The new freighter service adds to the airline’s existing cargo capacity and reflects its continued operations in the Canadian market.
The carrier operates a global network across six continents, with cargo capacity supported by both freighter aircraft and passenger flights. Its fleet includes Boeing 777 freighters, with additional aircraft scheduled for delivery during 2026.
