Emirates Supports Youth Tennis Programme at Roland-Garros

Roland-Garros Initiative Highlights Emirates Community Engagement Through Tennis

Emirates participated in Yannick Noah Day at Roland-Garros, welcoming young athletes from the Attrap’la Balle programme for a behind-the-scenes experience at the tournament venue.

The participants toured the stadium, visited practice courts and attended activities at Emirates’ hospitality suite, Salon 310, located at Court Philippe-Chatrier. The group also watched player training sessions and on-court entertainment during the event.

French former tennis player Jo-Wilfried Tsonga joined the programme to interact with the young participants, take photographs and support the initiative.

As part of its role as presenting partner of the Trophée des Légendes, the airline will continue to engage young athletes from Attrap’la Balle throughout the tournament. Participants will also take part in the official coin-toss ceremonies before selected matches.

The initiative also offers participants chances to meet former tennis players and engage with the airline’s cabin crew during the tournament.

Each participant also received an “Aircrafted by Emirates” backpack created from upcycled materials sourced from the airline’s aircraft retrofit programme.

The airline stated that this initiative is part of its broader community engagement strategies, which include sport and youth development programs connected to its global tennis partnerships. Additionally, the airline supports community tennis projects in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia, with a focus on youth involvement, education, and community participation.
