Emirates and Real Madrid Extend Partnership Until 2031

Emirates Partnership With Real Madrid Continues Through 2031

Emirates and Real Madrid have renewed their long-standing partnership, extending their sponsorship agreement until 2031. The renewal continues a relationship that began in 2011 and has become one of football’s most recognisable commercial partnerships.

Under the new agreement, Emirates will remain the Official Main Sponsor and Official Airline Partner of Real Madrid’s men’s and women’s football teams. The airline’s branding will continue to appear on match jerseys, training kits and staff apparel across competitions, including La Liga, the UEFA Champions League, Copa del Rey and the Spanish Super Cup.

Emirates first partnered with Real Madrid in 2011 and became the club’s jersey sponsor in 2013. The latest renewal ensures the collaboration will continue for nearly two decades.

The agreement also includes continued Emirates branding throughout Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, access to training facilities, and the Emirates Lounge, an in-stadium hospitality space for guests, customers, and business partners.

In addition to supporting the club’s senior teams, the partnership extends to Real Madrid’s youth development programmes, reinforcing both organisations’ commitment to nurturing future talent.

The renewed relationship also expands into basketball. Emirates has signed a multi-year agreement to remain the Official Main Sponsor of Real Madrid’s basketball team through 2031.

Commenting on the extension, Boutros Boutros, Executive Vice President of Corporate Communications, Marketing and Brand at Emirates, said the partnership reflects the airline’s long-standing commitment to football and its efforts to connect fans with the sport through experiences, events and community initiatives.

He noted that the relationship with Real Madrid has developed alongside Emirates’ growing presence in Spain, where the airline now operates multiple daily services to Madrid and Barcelona while providing connections through Dubai to destinations across its global network.

Real Madrid President Florentino Pérez said the partnership reflects a strong relationship built over many years and highlighted the importance of continuing the collaboration.

Supporting Fans and Communities

Over the years, Emirates and Real Madrid have collaborated on a variety of fan-focused initiatives, including player meet-and-greets, matchday activations, competitions and exclusive travel experiences.

The airline has also featured Real Madrid players in special aircraft liveries and charter operations linked to major competitions.

Beyond football, Emirates continues to support community projects through sports-related initiatives. In 2025, the airline launched the Emirates Signature Series, auctioning signed football shirts from partner clubs and directing proceeds towards charitable organisations, including the Emirates Airline Foundation and community programmes supported by participating clubs.

Emirates’ Ongoing Commitment to Sport

Football remains a key part of Emirates’ global sponsorship portfolio. In addition to Real Madrid, the airline maintains partnerships with clubs including Arsenal FC, AC Milan, S.L. Benfica, Olympique Lyonnais and FC Bayern Munich.

Emirates is also involved in a wide range of sports, including tennis, rugby, basketball, golf, cycling, horse racing, cricket and sailing, using these partnerships to connect with fans and communities around the world.

The extension of the Real Madrid agreement ensures the partnership will continue to play a central role in Emirates’ global sports sponsorship strategy through the end of the decade.
