Hanric Expands Eight Continents’ Presence in India

Eight Continents Hotels & Resorts has announced the launch of Hanric, Varkala, marking the brand’s entry into Kerala’s coastal destination and further expanding its hospitality portfolio in India.

Located in the heart of Varkala, the newly developed hotel has been designed to offer a contemporary stay inspired by the destination’s coastal setting and local character. Known for its beaches, cliffside views, wellness offerings and cultural attractions, Varkala continues to attract leisure travellers from across India and overseas.

Eight Continents Adds Hanric Hotel in Varkala

Hanric, Varkala features 32 guest rooms, along with a restaurant, bar and banquet facilities, catering to leisure travellers, small celebrations and social gatherings. The hotel combines modern facilities with locally inspired hospitality, offering guests a convenient base to explore Kerala’s coastline.

Eight Continents Hotels & Resorts will manage the property, focusing on guest experience, operational efficiency and destination-led hospitality.

Commenting on the launch, Richa Adhia, Managing Director of Eight Continents Hotels & Resorts, said the opening of Hanric, Varkala marks another step in the growth of the Hanric brand. She added that Varkala’s increasing popularity as a coastal destination aligns with the company’s vision of creating hospitality experiences that reflect the character and culture of each location while expanding its presence in India’s experience-led travel market.

The launch forms part of Eight Continents’ strategy to grow its presence in destinations with increasing tourism demand. The group operates a portfolio of brands including Treetop, Hanric, Stamps, Ocho Homes and Signature Collection across India, the United Kingdom and East Africa.

Its portfolio includes properties in Belfast, Guernsey, Zanzibar, Kasauli, Udaipur, Sariska, Jodhpur, Pushkar and Varkala, reflecting the company’s continued expansion across established and emerging travel destinations.
