As stated by Vivek HP, the Deputy Commissioner of Lower Subansiri, the domestic carrier will provide flights on Mondays and Wednesdays.
The flight schedule includes a departure from Guwahati at 12:10 PM, arriving in Ziro at 1:25 PM. From Ziro, the return flight will leave at 1:50 PM and arrive back in Guwahati at 3:05 PM. Vivek, coordinating with the Indian Air Force unit in Tezpur and the Bureau of Civil Aviation Services, emphasized that Ziro has established itself as a destination for MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) tourism. With the introduction of these flights, tourism in the Ziro Valley is expected to receive a significant boost.
Additionally, the Deputy Commissioner expressed hope that the new flights would enable residents requiring specialized medical attention to travel to major cities more quickly, thereby improving their access to specialized healthcare.
