Delta Air Lines recognized by Cirium as North America’s leading on-time airline in 2025
Delta Air Lines has been named North America’s most on-time airline for 2025 by Cirium, marking the fifth consecutive year the carrier has received this recognition. The result reflects Delta’s continued focus on operational reliability, safety, and consistency across its network.
According to Cirium’s data, Delta recorded an on-time arrival rate of 80.9% across 1.8 million flights in 2025, defined as arriving within 15 minutes of the scheduled time. This performance placed the airline 1.7 percentage points ahead of the next closest North American competitor, achieved across a significantly higher volume of flights.
Delta was also the only U.S.-based carrier included in Cirium’s Top 10 Global Airlines on-time performance rankings for the year.
John Laughter, Executive Vice President and Chief of Operations at Delta Air Lines, said the recognition reflects the airline’s daily operational focus and teamwork, with employees prioritising safety while maintaining schedule reliability for customers.
In addition to Cirium’s on-time performance ranking, Delta has received multiple industry recognitions for operational and service standards from organisations including J.D. Power, The Points Guy, and Skytrax.
