Delta and Uber Expand Partnership with New LGA Drop-Off Pilot and Member Benefits

Delta’s partnership with Uber, launched in April and first announced at CES 2025, continues to offer SkyMiles Members new ways to connect travel, technology and everyday mobility. The collaboration aims to integrate both brands’ services to create a more streamlined experience across travel and lifestyle activities.

Earning miles with Uber and Uber Eats

SkyMiles Members can now link their Delta and Uber accounts at delta.com/uber and automatically earn miles on eligible Uber rides and Uber Eats orders. This feature expands the ways members can earn rewards beyond air travel.

New airport drop-off pilot at LaGuardia Airport

Delta and Uber have introduced a new pilot program at LaGuardia Airport (LGA) designed to improve the curbside experience and reduce congestion.

Customers can now choose “Express Drop Off, Checked-In” in the Uber app and be dropped off at an outer curb area dedicated to express arrivals. At this location, customers receive curbside hospitality, wayfinding assistance and a direct route to security. Limited giveaways are available during the initial rollout.

According to Joshua Kaehler, Managing Director of Loyalty Partnerships at Delta, the pilot reflects an effort to create more choice and convenience for customers and explore improvements in the end-to-end travel experience. Delta will use insights from this pilot to shape similar initiatives at other hubs.

Growing engagement among SkyMiles Members

More than 1.4 million SkyMiles Members have linked their Delta and Uber accounts, enabling them to earn miles on eligible rides and deliveries. The partnership supports Delta’s broader loyalty approach, which focuses on creating opportunities for members to earn rewards as part of their daily routines—not just during air travel.

Member offers and earning opportunities

SkyMiles Members with linked accounts can earn:

• 3 miles per eligible dollar spent on Uber Reserve trips

• 2 miles per eligible dollar spent on premium rides such as Uber Comfort and Uber Black

• 1 mile per eligible dollar spent on UberX rides to and from airports

• 1 mile per eligible dollar spent on $40+ restaurant and grocery orders through Uber Eats

In-flight exclusive offer via Delta Sync Wi-Fi

For a limited time, SkyMiles Members can access an exclusive in-flight offer: 30% off their next Uber Reserve ride (up to $20) when connecting through Delta Sync Wi-Fi. Customers can schedule an Uber Reserve aligned with their flight’s arrival time, helping ensure a smooth transition from the airport to their next destination. Terms apply.
