Dar es Salaam Serena Hotel Completes Refurbishment of North Wing

Dar es Salaam Serena Hotel has announced the completion of a significant upgrade to its guest room inventory with the refurbishment of its North Wing.

The upgraded North Wing focuses on comfort, functionality, and value for both business and leisure travellers. This enhancement, combined with the hotel’s dining and leisure facilities, reinforces its position within the premium hospitality segment in Dar es Salaam. Located in the city centre, the hotel continues to offer convenient access alongside its signature Serena hospitality.

Key Highlights of the Refurbished North Wing

All guest rooms and suites feature refreshed interiors with improved lighting and temperature controls, upgraded smart TVs, and modern en suite bathrooms with walk-in rain showers.

Commenting on the development, Mr. Charles Mbuya, Acting General Manager, said: “Our focus remains on delivering a consistent and comfortable guest experience. This investment in a significant portion of our room inventory reflects that focus. From January, we will begin Phase 2 of the refurbishment programme, which will see the South Wing upgraded to the same interior standard. Phase 2 will also include the introduction of a new Maisha Spa, with expanded facilities and services for women. These upgrades will be carried out without disrupting current guest stays.”

Special Introductory Offer

To mark the completion of the North Wing refurbishment, the hotel is offering introductory rates for a limited period:

  • Single Room: USD 159

  • Double Room: USD 199

These rates are valid until 31 March 2026, offering guests an opportunity to experience the refurbished rooms at an attractive value.
