U.S. Air Force Lodging to Be Managed by IHG Hotels and Centinel

Centinel Public Partnerships and IHG Hotels & Resorts have been selected by the Department of the Air Force (DAF) as commercial partners to own, develop and manage on-base lodging across U.S. Air Force installations under a 50-year agreement.

Under the partnership, Centinel will oversee ownership, development, construction and asset management, while IHG will manage hotel operations and guest services.

According to the DAF, the agreement is expected to be finalised and operational transfer completed by autumn 2027. The rollout will begin with 23 installations across the United States and its territories to ensure continuity of lodging operations during the transition.

Centinel has experience in developing and managing housing and hospitality projects across Army, Air Force and Space Force installations in the United States. IHG will bring hotel management operations and military lodging experience through its existing IHG Army Hotels portfolio.

Centinel and IHG have worked together since 2009 through the Privatisation of Army Lodging programme, which includes more than 70 hotels and over 12,000 rooms across 40 military installations.
