Brand USA FIFA World Cup 2026 Experiences Highlight Travel and Culture

With the FIFA World Cup set to begin in the United States in the coming weeks, Brand USA has highlighted a wide range of fan experiences planned across host cities and destinations nationwide.

The events and attractions are designed to give international and domestic visitors opportunities to experience football culture, entertainment, food, music and local communities beyond the stadiums.

According to Fred Dixon, the tournament is expected to encourage travellers to explore more of the country while attending matches and related celebrations.

Host Cities Prepare Large Fan Festivals

Many host cities across the United States are organising official FIFA Fan Festivals and public watch parties where fans can gather to watch live matches and participate in entertainment activities.

The events are expected to include concerts, cultural showcases, interactive football experiences, family activities and regional food programmes.

Cities are also using the tournament to promote local tourism attractions, museums, arts venues and neighbourhood experiences.

Atlanta Focuses on Culture and Community

Atlanta will host its FIFA Fan Festival at Centennial Olympic Park.

The city is also planning cultural programmes including performances, workshops, film screenings and art exhibitions at the ATL Cultural Exchange. Additional events will take place along the Atlanta Beltline with football clinics, match broadcasts and family entertainment.

Emory University will present exhibitions examining football culture and community connections across several campus venues.

Boston Expands Public Viewing Areas

Boston will host its main FIFA Fan Festival at City Hall Plaza where fans can watch live matches and participate in football-themed activities.

The city will also organise multiple community watch parties in surrounding areas including Cambridge, Chelsea and Revere.

A large football display planned at Piers Park II is expected to attempt a Guinness World Records title for the world’s largest football.

Dallas Highlights Sports and Science Exhibitions

Dallas is preparing a large-scale fan programme alongside the nine FIFA World Cup matches hosted in the city.

The FIFA Fan Festival at Dallas Fair Park will feature live music, public screenings and entertainment events.

Visitors can also explore football-related exhibitions at the Perot Museum of Nature and Science and the George W. Bush Presidential Museum.

Houston Combines Football and Public Art

Houston plans to host fan events in East Downtown including immersive experiences, youth football tournaments and live match screenings.

The city’s “Art of Soccer” initiative will showcase football-themed public art created by local artists throughout Houston.

Watch parties will also take place at restaurants, sports bars and entertainment venues across the city.

Kansas City Builds Community Experiences

Kansas City will centre its celebrations around the National WWI Museum and Memorial where the FIFA Fan Festival will be held.

Additional exhibitions and concerts will explore football culture, sports history and community engagement through local museums and public spaces.

Family activities and entertainment programmes are also planned along the city’s riverfront areas.

Los Angeles Expands Cultural Programming

Los Angeles will host fan experiences at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum along with multiple regional fan zones.

Activities include music events, football exhibitions, cultural performances and local food programmes.

Museums including the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the California Science Center are also presenting football-themed exhibitions during the tournament period.

Miami and New York Prepare Global Celebrations

Miami will host its FIFA Fan Festival at Bayfront Park with live entertainment, football activities and cultural programming.

The city will also feature exhibitions at the FIFA Museum and the Pérez Art Museum Miami focusing on football’s influence on art and global culture.

Meanwhile, New York City and New Jersey are preparing for the FIFA World Cup Final scheduled for 19 July.

Fan events across the region will include food experiences, cultural programmes and football-themed entertainment.

Philadelphia San Francisco and Seattle Join the Celebrations

Philadelphia will host fan experiences at Lemon Hill in East Fairmount Park with live screenings, cultural performances and local vendor markets.

The San Francisco Bay Area plans official fan zones and more than 30 public watch party venues across the region.

Seattle is introducing a floating football viewing experience on Elliott Bay while museums and public venues across the city host football exhibitions and cultural events.

The Puyallup Tribe of Indians will also organise Indigenous cultural programmes linked to the tournament.
