Emirates' Lounge now Open in Bangkok

Emirates has announced the opening of its newly relocated lounge at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport, Satellite 1 Terminal (SAT-1). The refurbished lounge in the airport's latest terminal sets a new benchmark for luxury travel. It provides Emirates customers with an upgraded ground experience that complements the elegance of their journey.

The $5 million renovation increased the lounge size to 1,454 square meters. It can host 250 guests, meeting the needs of all premium passengers on two simultaneous A380 departures. The upgraded lounge in Bangkok is now the airline's largest international lounge facility beyond its home market.

Passengers travelling in Emirates’ First and Business Class, along with Skywards members, can enjoy pre-flight comfort and relaxation. The lounge features upscale furnishings in the signature Emirates style, elegant dining choices, and a tranquil atmosphere. Additionally, guests can access various amenities, such as shower spas, free Wi-Fi, and an extensive selection of food and beverages, highlighting local and international cuisine and traditional Thai desserts.

Emirates was one of the first airlines to move to the SAT-1 Terminal, which offers modern and convenient facilities for customers flying on any of the airline’s six daily flights from Bangkok. The Emirates lounge is conveniently located on the fourth floor of SAT-1 and is just a five-minute walk from the boarding gates.

Emirates operates 41 airport lounges worldwide, including seven at Dubai International Airport and 34 across its global network. The airline also offers eligible customers access to partner lounges in select destinations.

Strengthening Operations in Thailand

This year marks 35 years of Emirates serving Thailand. Throughout this time, the airline has significantly enhanced its dedication to boosting tourism and business in this vital Southeast Asian travel centre. Emirates operates five daily flights between Dubai and Bangkok, utilizing a combination of Airbus A380s and Boeing 777s. Additionally, it provides double-daily flights to Phuket and a daily non-stop route between Bangkok and Hong Kong.

Emirates operates the largest premium cabin capacity among international carriers to/from Bangkok. Emirates provides 870 first—and business-class daily seats on its routes to and from the city. This extensive premium seat capacity reinforces Emirates’ position as the leading foreign airline for luxury travel to and from Bangkok, which has driven the expansion of its airport lounge facilities to accommodate the growing number of premium customers.

Bangkok is Emirates’ second-largest destination, featuring First and Business Class seat capacity. This underscores the route’s popularity and the strong demand for premium travel.

Travelling with Emirates goes beyond the flight. First—and business-class passengers indulge in door-to-door luxury, benefiting from a complimentary Chauffeur-drive service within a 60-km radius of Suvarnabhumi Airport and exclusive check-in counters. On Emirates’ A380 aircraft, the upper-class experience boasts the airline’s signature Onboard Lounge, lavish private First-Class suites, and a luxurious Shower Spa. Passengers on the Emirates A380 and Boeing 777 will also relish the Ice entertainment system, which features over 6,500 channels of on-demand content.
