Anantara Kafue River Camp Receives Two LIV Design Awards
LIV Awards Recognize Design at Anantara Kafue River Camp
Anantara Hotels & Resorts has received two awards for its Anantara Tented Camp Kafue River at the sixth edition of the LIV Hospitality Design Awards. The project was recognized in the Architecture (Living Space, Lodge) and Interior Design (Living Space, Africa) categories, and was also selected as a Jury Pick.
The interiors were designed by Meg Ralph Spaces, combining contemporary design elements with locally sourced materials and textures. The design approach reflects the surrounding landscape of the Kafue River and draws on natural tones and materials found across Zambia.
Scheduled to open in June 2026, the camp is located along the Kafue River within Kafue National Park. The property has been developed as a low-impact structure, with elevated platforms designed to accommodate seasonal water flow and allow wildlife movement beneath the camp.

Anantara Kafue River Camp will feature 10 villas and 3 Horizon Terrace Suites, each oriented toward the river and the surrounding environment. Accommodation includes indoor and outdoor living areas, with design elements intended to maintain a connection to the natural setting. Guests will also have access to personalised services during their stay.

Laurie Burr, Area General Manager for Anantara Hotels & Resorts in Zambia, said the recognition reflects the collaborative effort between the project team and design partners.
The LIV Hospitality Design Awards recognize projects across architecture and interior design within the global hospitality sector. The 2025 edition received over 600 submissions from 64 countries and was evaluated by a panel of architects, designers and industry professionals.

Anantara Tented Camp Kafue River is accessible from Lusaka, with road or charter flights available from Lusaka and Livingstone.
