Abid Nasir Appointed as New Chief Engineer at Grand Millennium Dubai

APPOINTMENT

Grand Millennium Hotel Dubai has announced the appointment of Abid Nasir as Chief Engineer.

Abid holds over 20 years of experience in engineering operations and facilities management across some of the UAE’s most recognized hospitality brands.

Prior to this appointment, he served as Head of Engineering at voco Bonnington Dubai, overseeing preventive maintenance programmes, spearheading sustainability initiatives, and delivering renovation and upgrade projects.

Abid is fluent in English, Urdu, and Punjabi. He brings a global perspective to his work, aligning with the hotel’s diverse team and international clientele.

His portfolio includes key leadership roles at Meydan Hotels & Hospitality’s Bab Al Shams Desert Resort, Park Hyatt Dubai, and Bonnington Jumeirah Lakes Towers.

Across these positions, he demonstrated extensive operational efficiency, maintaining safety compliance, and driving guest satisfaction through strategic project management.

In his new role, Abid will be responsible for managing all engineering functions at the property. This includes preventive maintenance, safety management systems, energy monitoring, sustainability programmes, and long-term CapEx planning.

His expertise in project coordination and quality management will be central to supporting the hotel’s operational goals and guest experience standards.
