Ananta Hotels Expands with Ujjain Resort

Ananta Resort in Ujjain to Open in Two Phases

Ananta Hotels & Resorts has entered the Madhya Pradesh market with the signing of Ananta Spa & Resort, Ujjain, marking the group’s entry into one of India’s key spiritual tourism destinations. The resort, located on Ratadiya Main Road, Bada Nagar Road, will be developed in partnership with Holyland Holidays.

The property will feature 116 keys and will be developed in two phases. The first phase, comprising 51 rooms, is expected to open shortly, while the second phase will add 65 rooms, bringing the total inventory to 116 keys. Designed in a cottage-style layout, the resort will cater to pilgrims, leisure travellers, families and event guests.

The resort will operate under Ananta Hotels’ management partnership model, supporting the company’s asset-light expansion strategy and its plans to strengthen its presence in growing hospitality markets.

Located in Ujjain, the resort is close to the Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, and the Shipra River. The city is a major pilgrimage destination and forms part of the Ujjain–Indore–Omkareshwar pilgrimage circuit. Its proximity to Indore, around 55 kilometres away, also offers access to the region’s business and events market.
