AirAsia Philippines Expands Checked Baggage Options
AirAsia Philippines Updates Checked Baggage Policy for Travellers
AirAsia Philippines has reminded travellers that they can check in multiple bags, provided the total weight remains within their purchased or complimentary checked baggage allowance.
Passengers can purchase checked baggage allowances ranging from 20kg to 60kg, offering flexibility for different travel needs. While there is no limit on the number of checked bags, each individual bag must not exceed 32kg, regardless of the total baggage allowance purchased.
Pre-Book Baggage to Save on Fees
Travellers who pre-book checked baggage before departure can save up to PHP 919 compared with airport baggage charges.
Checked baggage can be purchased through the AirAsia MOVE app, the AirAsia website or Ask Bo. Guests can also add or upgrade their baggage allowance through Manage My Booking or Ask Bo up to two hours before departure. Baggage may also be purchased at the airport, subject to applicable airport rates.
Free Mobility Equipment
AirAsia Philippines allows several mobility items to be checked in free of charge, including:
- Baby strollers, buggies and prams
- Wheelchairs and mobility devices
- Crutches and walking frames
Cabin Baggage Allowance
Passengers are permitted to carry two cabin items—one cabin bag and one personal item such as a laptop bag or handbag—with a combined weight of up to 7kg.
Travellers requiring extra cabin baggage may pre-book Xtra Carry-On, increasing the cabin baggage allowance to 14kg.
The updated baggage options are intended to provide travellers with greater flexibility when carrying shopping, souvenirs and other personal belongings during their journeys.
