Hyatt Vacation Club at Highlands Inn Appoints Jimmy Furtado as General Manager

Hyatt Vacation Club at Highlands Inn has appointed Jimmy Furtado as General Manager.

Furtado brings more than 20 years of hospitality experience, with expertise in resort operations, strategic planning, and guest experience management. In his new role, he will oversee day-to-day operations, owner relations, and overall guest experience at the property.

He joined Marriott Vacations Worldwide in 2023 as Director of Operations at Marriott’s Newport Coast Villas, where he managed cross-functional teams and operational functions. Prior to this, he held leadership roles at JW Marriott Tucson Starr Pass Resort & Spa, Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina, and W Montreal, with experience across food and beverage, front office, housekeeping, and recreation.

His background includes a focus on operational efficiency, service standards, and team leadership across resort environments.

Furtado holds a diploma in hotel and restaurant management from LaSalle College, Montreal.

In his current role at Hyatt Vacation Club at Highlands Inn , he will work with the leadership team to support operational performance and guest satisfaction at the property.
