Amanda Joiner Appointed General Manager at JW Marriott Atlanta Downtown

JW Marriott Atlanta Downtown has appointed Amanda Joiner as General Manager.

In her new role, Joiner will oversee hotel operations, with responsibilities spanning guest experience, team leadership, and overall performance of the property.

Joiner brings more than 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with a background across hotel operations, sales, and marketing. This appointment marks her return to Atlanta, where she began her career in hospitality.

She started her career in Atlanta as Area Director of Sales and Hotel Manager, where she was involved in managing The Ritz-Carlton, Atlanta. Over the course of her career, she has held leadership roles within The Ritz-Carlton across property and corporate levels.

In 2015, she was appointed General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis. She later moved into a corporate role as Global Vice President at The Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center, where she worked on consulting and advisory initiatives focused on organisational culture and guest engagement.

Joiner holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commercial Recreation and Facility Management from Central Michigan University.

Her appointment reflects the hotel’s focus on leadership as it establishes its position in the Atlanta market.
