Novotel York Centre Appoints Basant Pandey as Sous Chef

Novotel York Centre, part of the Accor group, has appointed Basant Pandey as Sous Chef in the United Kingdom.
In his new role, Pandey will oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, team supervision, and maintaining quality and hygiene standards. He will also contribute to delivering consistent dining experiences through operational efficiency and teamwork.
Pandey brings international culinary experience across the United Kingdom, Qatar, Vietnam, and India. Prior to this appointment, he served as Junior Sous Chef at Whately Hall Hotel in Banbury, England, where he was involved in kitchen operations, team leadership, and service delivery.

Earlier in his career, he worked as Chef de Partie at Saffron Restaurant in Doha, focusing on fine dining and Indian cuisine. He also held the position of Demi Chef de Partie at Sheraton Hanoi Hotel and The Clarks Hotels & Resorts, gaining exposure to diverse culinary environments and service standards.

Pandey began his hospitality journey with Andaz Delhi by Hyatt, where he spent over four years as Commis Chef, building a strong foundation in culinary operations and food safety.
With skills in kitchen management, leadership, and culinary execution, his appointment reflects Novotel York Centre’s focus on strengthening its kitchen team and maintaining consistent food quality and guest experience.
