The Evren Opens New Boutique Hotel in Vagator

The Evren and Nines Bring Hospitality, Dining and Culture to Goa

Anant Hospitality has announced the opening of The Evren in Vagator, Goa, introducing a new boutique hotel and lifestyle destination to North Goa. Developed by partners Harkaran Chawla, Angad Singh, Kunal Patel, Suved Lohia and actor-entrepreneur Sanjay Dutt, the property has also joined the Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) collection ahead of its launch.

Located in the heart of Vagator, The Evren combines hospitality, design, dining and cultural experiences within a single destination. The property has been designed to offer guests a blend of accommodation, food-and-beverage experiences, social spaces, and curated lifestyle programming.

Drawing inspiration from European design influences and Goa’s Indo-Portuguese heritage, the hotel features stone finishes, handcrafted wooden ceilings, wrought-iron details, arches and open balconies. The architecture balances contemporary hospitality with local character, creating spaces for both relaxation and social interaction.

The Evren offers a collection of suites and personalised guest services. The property also includes Suenos de Café, an all-day café and co-working space curated by Geetu Mohnani, the first woman to win India’s National Barista Championship. Designed for both travellers and remote workers, the café combines speciality coffee with flexible workspaces and high-speed connectivity.

At the centre of the property is Nines by The Evren, which serves as the hotel’s primary dining and social venue. The restaurant’s menu has been developed by culinary consultant Chef Prachi Mehta, whose experience includes restaurants in London, Copenhagen, New York and India.

The menu brings together European cooking techniques with Indian flavours and regional ingredients. Signature dishes include Balchão Charred Broccoli, Kismur Grilled King Prawns, Chettinad Fried Chicken with Goan Poee, Sichuan Pepper Soft Shell Crab and Bread-Crusted Salmon in Moilee sauce. The dessert selection features dishes such as Sushi Tiramisu and Picante, while the drinks programme includes cocktails inspired by regional ingredients and flavours.

During the day, Nines operates as a dining venue for lunches, brunches and casual gatherings. In the evening, the space transitions into a nightlife destination with live performances, DJ sets and entertainment programmes.

Speaking about the project, Harkaran Chawla said The Evren was created as a destination where hospitality, design, food, music and culture come together through carefully curated experiences.

The property is led by Anant Hospitality, with hospitality entrepreneur Suved Lohia overseeing the concept and guest experience. Lohia is also associated with hospitality brands including One8 Commune, Neuma, Milagro, Game and Palacio.

Room rates at The Evren range from approximately ₹10,000 to ₹40,000 per night. The hotel is located in Vagator, one of North Goa’s established tourism and hospitality hubs.
