Radisson Blu Opens New Hotel at Shanghai Eastern Hub

Shanghai Eastern Hub Hotel Strengthens Business Travel Connectivity

Radisson Hotel Group and Jin Jiang International Hotels have announced the opening of Radisson Blu Hotel, Shanghai Eastern Hub, a 445-room property located within the Shanghai Eastern Hub International Business Cooperation Zone.

Positioned between Shanghai Pudong International Airport and the future Shanghai East Railway Station, the hotel has been developed to support international business travellers and MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions) activities in one of China’s key transport and business districts.

Strategic Location for Business Travellers

The hotel is located approximately 13 kilometres from Shanghai Pudong International Airport and around four kilometres from the under-construction Shanghai East Railway Station. Its location within the Shanghai Eastern Hub places it at the centre of a major transport and business development area designed to improve international connectivity.

Supported by air and rail links, the property aims to serve travellers seeking convenient access to Shanghai’s commercial, cultural and transportation networks.

Design Inspired by Shanghai Heritage

The hotel’s design concept, known as “Oriental Window”, draws inspiration from Shanghai’s architectural and cultural heritage. Elements influenced by traditional Shikumen residences, Art Deco architecture and the Huangpu River have been incorporated into the interiors through a contemporary design approach.

The 445 guestrooms and suites feature neutral colour palettes complemented by subtle references to Chinese design traditions, including porcelain-inspired details and decorative motifs. Smart room controls, multimedia systems and high-speed internet access are integrated throughout the accommodation.

Dining Options Reflect Regional Influences

Guests can choose from several dining venues within the hotel.

The all-day dining restaurant serves a mix of international and local dishes, while Jin Yan Chinese Restaurant focuses on Shanghai, Jiangsu-Zhejiang and Cantonese cuisine. The restaurant also includes seven private dining rooms suitable for business meals and family gatherings.

An Executive Lounge offers additional space for meetings, relaxation and informal networking.

Extensive Meeting and Event Facilities

Radisson Blu Hotel, Shanghai Eastern Hub features more than 6,700 square metres of meeting and event space.

Facilities include a pillarless conference hall, a viewing theatre and eight multifunctional meeting rooms. Equipped with modern audiovisual technology, the venues are designed to host conferences, business forums, exhibitions and corporate events.

The property’s location near major transport infrastructure further supports its role as a destination for domestic and international business gatherings.

Wellness and Leisure Amenities

The Radisson Blu hotel includes a wellness centre with a temperature-controlled indoor swimming pool and a fitness centre.

These facilities provide guests with opportunities to relax and maintain their routines while travelling for business or leisure. The hotel’s location also offers convenient access to Pudong’s business districts, convention centres and cultural attractions.

Supporting Shanghai’s Growing Business Hub

Mao Xiao, Chief Executive Officer of JJ, said the opening of Radisson Blu reflects the group’s commitment to supporting the development of the Shanghai Eastern Hub International Business Cooperation Zone and to strengthening international business connectivity.

With its combination of accommodation, dining, event facilities and transport accessibility, Radisson Blu Hotel, Shanghai Eastern Hub adds a new hospitality option for travellers visiting one of Shanghai’s expanding business and transport centres.
