Venkateshwar Rao Appointed as Director of Sales & Marketing at Hyatt Regency Chennai

Hyatt Regency Chennai has announced the appointment of Venkateshwar Rao as its new Director of Sales & Marketing.

Venkateshwar brings over a decade of experience in sales and marketing across leading hospitality brands. Most recently, he served as Director of Sales & Marketing at Hyatt Regency Ahmedabad, where he led commercial operations, expanded inventory, and delivered  revenue growth.

Prior to his tenure at Hyatt Regency Ahmedabad, Venkateshwar held key leadership roles with Hyatt Place Hyderabad/Banjara Hills and Hyatt Pune. He holds extensive expertise in developing high performing teams, strengthening client relationships, creating customer engagement initiatives, business development, market positioning and aligning sales strategies with overarching business objectives.

In his new role, Venkateshwar Rao will oversee the hotel’s sales and marketing functions, focusing on revenue optimization, brand positioning and delivering impactful guest experiences. He will also play a key role in identifying growth opportunities and strengthening Hyatt Regency Chennai’s presence in a competitive market.
