The Livingston Brings Hyatt’s JdV Brand to Brooklyn

New Hotel Connects with Brooklyn’s Cultural and Creative Landscape

Hyatt has launched its first branded hotel in Brooklyn, New York, with the opening of The Livingston, part of the JdV by Hyatt collection. Developed by Midas Hospitality in collaboration with ACRES Capital, the 104-room hotel offers a new hospitality choice in one of the borough’s cultural districts.

The 22-storey hotel has been designed to reflect Brooklyn’s character, with interiors and shared spaces influenced by local art, culture, and community. The concept focuses on creating an environment that encourages interaction while providing a comfortable stay for both leisure and business travellers.

Linda Eigelberger, Principal and Chief Commercial Officer at Midas Hospitality, said the project aims to align the JdV by Hyatt brand with Brooklyn’s creative environment and diverse visitor base.

Location, Design and Guest Experience

Located at 291 Livingston Street, the hotel is within walking distance of landmarks such as Barclays Centre, the Brooklyn Academy of Music and the Brooklyn Museum, as well as theatres, galleries and music venues. Several subway stations nearby provide access to Manhattan and other parts of New York City.

The Livingston offers 104 rooms, including 15 with private balconies, many with views across the city. The interiors follow a modern-industrial design approach, with amenities including Wi-Fi, marble-finished bathrooms, televisions, in-room safes, mini refrigerators, and coffee makers.

Dining is centred around The Grove Lantern, the hotel’s restaurant serving locally inspired dishes throughout the day. The lobby café, Goldfinch Café, offers espresso-based beverages and pastries sourced from nearby bakeries.

Additional facilities include a rooftop terrace spanning approximately 820 square feet, designed for small gatherings, events and seasonal programming. Art installations by local creators are integrated throughout the property, fostering the hotel’s connection to the surrounding neighbourhood.
