Singapore Airlines Launches New In-Flight Safety Video Highlighting Local Culture
Singapore Airlines (SIA) has introduced a new in-flight safety video that presents safety information while showcasing Singapore’s landmarks, neighbourhoods, and communities.
In collaboration with the Singapore Tourism Board (STB), the video showcases Singapore Airlines (SIA) cabin crew at various iconic locations, including the Esplanade, Gardens by the Bay, Sentosa, Lau Pa Sat, and Jurong Lake Gardens. Local performers, such as a lion dance troupe, kolam artists, silat practitioners, and an aqua aerobics team, help illustrate the safety procedures.
The video seamlessly blends real-life footage with watercolour effects, drawing inspiration from Singapore’s vibrant visual arts scene and its murals, which reflect the country’s rich heritage and culture.

Vinod Kannan, Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing, Singapore Airlines, said: “This video presents essential safety information while highlighting Singapore’s cultures, sights, and communities. Each scene was designed to reinforce these messages. We hope it connects with Singapore residents and offers visitors a meaningful introduction to the island.”

Kenneth Lim, Assistant Chief Executive, Marketing Group, Singapore Tourism Board, said: “The new safety video highlights Singapore’s communities and culture. Through this partnership, we are able to share Singapore’s identity with a global audience and strengthen its position as a destination for both business and leisure.”
