Peachtree Group Appoints Mike Morey as EVP, Capital Markets

Peachtree Group has announced the appointment of Mike Morey as Executive Vice President, Capital Markets.

In this role, Morey will lead the firm’s insurance capital markets strategy, with a focus on expanding lender relationships, optimizing capital sourcing, and enhancing transaction execution across its investment platform.

Morey joins Peachtree after more than 15 years with The Standard, where he held senior roles within its real estate lending platform, StanCorp Mortgage Investors. During his tenure, he focused on commercial real estate finance and investment across multiple asset classes and market cycles.

In addition to his corporate experience, Morey has been actively involved in industry leadership, including serving as chairman of the advisory board at the Center for Real Estate at Portland State University. He holds the Chartered Realty Investor designation and is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley.

This appointment comes as Peachtree continues to expand its credit platform amid evolving market conditions, including higher interest rates, tighter bank lending, and increasing debt maturities. Morey’s addition is expected to support the firm’s ability to originate and execute transactions in capital-constrained environments, further strengthening its position in the commercial real estate lending sector.
