New Hotel Manager at Courtyard by Marriott Goa Colva

APPOINTMENT

Courtyard by Marriott Goa Colva has appointed Sameer Kapoor as its new hotel manager. Kapoor, who has worked in various capacities in the rooms business for over 15 years, offers the hotel team a wealth of experience and an innovative attitude. 

Kapoor joins us after serving as operations manager at Courtyard by Marriott Goa Colva, where he was instrumental in the property’s pre- and post-opening phases. His responsibilities included checking infrastructure preparation, managing pre- and post-opening budgeting, and ensuring the property adhered to all business policies. According to an official statement, Kapoor’s strategic planning helped lay the groundwork for the hotel’s success. 

Before joining Courtyard by Marriott Goa Colva, Kapoor held different leadership positions at Le Meridien Goa, beginning as front office manager and moving to rooms division manager. His tenure was distinguished by considerable improvements in guest happiness, financial success, and repeat business. He successfully led the hotel’s senior leadership team, guaranteeing seamless operations and driving key financial KPIs, including room profitability.

Kapoor’s significant expertise includes serving as the quality assurance head for North India at Treebo Hotels & Resorts, as well as holding positions at The Leela Ambience Convention, The Westin Mumbai Garden City, The Imperial New Delhi, and The Westin Sohna Resort & Spa. His career has been defined by his abilities to lead teams, manage guest interactions, and implement practical training and development programmes. Kapoor has a Bachelor of Science in Hotel Administration and an IGNOU certification. His linguistic abilities include fluency in English, Hindi, Punjabi and a basic understanding of German.
