Gaurav Desai, Director of Sales – The Westin Pune Koregaon Park

Gaurav Desai joins The Westin Pune Koregaon Park as Director of Sales, bringing extensive experience from both on-property and above-property roles at Marriott International. A seasoned sales leader, he has successfully driven high-performing, MICE-centric properties, spearheading pre-openings and executing strategic initiatives to enhance market share.

Prior to this role, Gaurav served as Account Director, National Sales – Bengaluru and Director of Sales at Sheraton Grand Bengaluru Whitefield Hotel & Convention Center, demonstrating his expertise in positioning strategies and team leadership. His career began with Indian Hotels Co. Ltd., where he contributed to the Regional MICE team in Mumbai before moving to Marriott Hotels India Pvt. Ltd. Over the years, he has played a pivotal role in the pre-opening of Courtyard by Marriott Pune Chakan and Fairfield by Marriott Belagavi, in addition to leading sales at Courtyard by Marriott Pune Hinjewadi.

With his deep understanding of sales strategies and a results-driven approach, Gaurav is set to strengthen the hotel’s market presence and business growth.

Himanshu Drawid, Executive Housekeeper – The Westin Pune Koregaon Park

Bringing over 22 years of expertise in hospitality operations, pre-openings, and refurbishments, Himanshu Drawid joins as Executive Housekeeper at The Westin Pune Koregaon Park. His career spans renowned hospitality brands, including Marriott International, Accor, Hyatt, Radisson, Lemon Tree, and Sun n Sand, where he has been instrumental in enhancing operational efficiencies and guest experiences through meticulous housekeeping practices.

A Hotel Management and Catering Technology graduate from Pune University, Himanshu began his Marriott journey in 2005 and has since held key positions across the industry. With a focus on luxury service, sustainability-driven housekeeping, and operational excellence, he has led teams to uphold the highest standards in cleanliness, hygiene, and guest well-being.

In his new role, he will oversee housekeeping operations, implement innovative hygiene and sustainability initiatives, and ensure alignment with Marriott’s “Commitment to Clean” standards, reinforcing The Westin Pune’s reputation as a sanctuary of comfort and well-being.

Shruti Sengupta, Senior Manager marketing Communications – The Westin Pune Koregaon Park

The Westin Pune Koregaon Park welcomes Shruti Sengupta as Senior Manager – Marketing Communications, where she will lead brand strategy, integrated marketing efforts, and media engagement to further strengthen the hotel’s positioning. With nearly a decade of experience in hospitality marketing across business hotels and destination resorts, she continues her journey with Marriott International after spearheading marketing communications at Courtyard Mahabaleshwar and the pre-opening of Marriott Executive Apartments Navi Mumbai.

Known for her strategic storytelling, innovative campaigns, and impactful brand collaborations, Shruti has played a key role in driving revenue growth and enhancing brand presence. A firm advocate of data-driven marketing, she will focus on elevating brand communication, social media engagement, and PR outreach, with a special emphasis on the hotel’s F&B venues, wellness offerings, and signature events.

Passionate about hospitality and brand-building, she thrives on curating immersive guest experiences. Beyond work, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her daughters, embodying The Westin brand’s ethos of work-life balance and well-being.
