Nepal Tourism Board has issued a clarification regarding reports on travel restrictions for Indian visitors entering Nepal, stating that several claims circulating in the media and on online platforms are incorrect.

The Board stated that the Government of Nepal has not introduced any new policy affecting the duration of stay for Indian travellers. Existing arrangements and bilateral understandings between Nepal and India remain unchanged.

The statement also highlighted the continued cultural and tourism ties between the two countries, while reaffirming Nepal’s commitment to maintaining smooth travel and the free movement of visitors across the border.

In addition, Nepal has introduced a digital facilitation system to simplify travel procedures for visitors entering Nepal by land in private vehicles. Developed by the Department of Customs under the Ministry of Finance, the platform enables foreign vehicle owners to complete temporary entry permits and make related payments online.
