HUALUXE Taipei Hotel Set to Open in Taiwan in 2026
IHG Brings HUALUXE Taipei to the Taiwan Market
IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed HUALUXE Taipei in partnership with Fullon Hotels & Resorts, marking the brand’s entry into the Taiwan market. Scheduled to open in 2026, the hotel will expand IHG’s presence in Taiwan and build on the two companies’ existing collaboration following the launch of voco Chiayi.
The signing comes as Taiwan’s hospitality sector continues to evolve, supported by domestic travel demand, a broader mix of international visitors and growing interest in cultural and city-based experiences.
Located in Taipei’s Dalongdong district, next to Yuanshan MRT Station, HUALUXE Taipei will feature 199 guest rooms and offer convenient access to several cultural and historical attractions, including the Taipei Confucius Temple, Dalongdong Baoan Temple, and the Dadaocheng area.
The hotel’s design and guest experience will draw inspiration from the surrounding neighbourhood, combining local cultural influences with HUALUXE’s approach to hospitality, dining, tea culture and social gatherings.
Daniel Aylmer, Chief Executive Officer, Greater China, IHG Hotels & Resorts, said the signing reflects the continued growth of the partnership with Fullon Hotels & Resorts and supports the brand’s expansion into additional markets. He noted that Taipei’s mix of business travel, international connectivity and cultural heritage makes it a suitable location for the brand’s debut in Taiwan.
Joseph Yang, Group General Manager of Fullon Hotels & Resorts, said the partnership combines Taiwan’s hospitality traditions with an international hotel brand, aiming to offer guests a stay experience that reflects local culture and service values.
Launched in 2012, HUALUXE Hotels & Resorts has expanded across major cities and resort destinations. As of the first quarter of 2026, the brand operates 27 hotels and has a further 20 properties in development.

The new signing will also strengthen IHG’s portfolio in Taiwan. Since opening its first property in the market, Holiday Inn Express Taoyuan, in 2008, IHG has grown its presence to 17 operating hotels across eight brands, spanning luxury, premium and essentials segments.
The company said the latest agreement reflects its ongoing focus on expanding with the right partners and locations while serving both domestic and international travellers.
