Regent Hotel Coming to Makkah

In collaboration with AIMS Holding, IHG Hotels & Resorts plans to introduce its ultra-luxury brand, Regent, in Makkah. This will mark a key moment in the Kingdom’s growing hospitality sector. IHG and AIMS have finalized an agreement to brand and manage a property near Al Haram Al Sharif. Construction is already in progress, advancing the original timelines and emphasizing IHG’s dedication to expanding its luxury offerings in the area.

Regent Makkah will offer views of the Mosque, Masjid al-Haram, and Al Kaaba. It will be a comfortable retreat for travellers visiting Islam’s holiest city. The hotel will transform luxury in Makkah, providing an exclusive experience in one of the world’s most spiritual destinations.

The hotel will offer 330 rooms and suites, each equipped with modern technology and designed for relaxation and wellness, ensuring a pleasant stay. A presidential suite on a high floor with views of the Haram and Al Kaaba will establish a new standard for luxury in the city.

The Regent Makkah offers a dining experience with speciality restaurants by famous chefs. A top-notch spa and wellness centre will also provide relaxing services for a comfortable visit.

Haitham Mattar, Managing Director, India, Middle East & Africa, IHG Hotels & Resorts, said: “We are excited to launch Regent Makkah, a brand that embodies the pinnacle of luxury and hospitality. This property will not only elevate the guest experience in Makkah, but also set a new standard for luxury accommodations in the region. Our collaboration with AIMS Holding is crucial and, together, we are committed to creating an exceptional offering for worshippers and travellers.”

Muhammad Al Amir, Head of Hospitality, AIMS Holding, said: “Regent Makkah will be a landmark addition to our expanding luxury portfolio, blending heritage with modern sophistication. With this launch, Makkah, one of the world’s most sacred destinations, will embrace an exceptional level of hospitality, profoundly meaningful and luxurious. We are honored to contribute to the Kingdom’s vision of elevating hospitality offerings in this revered city.”
