New F&B Assistant Director Joins Hyatt Regency Chennai Team

APPOINTMENT

Ashok Ram Kumar has been appointed the new assistant director of food and beverage at Hyatt Regency Chennai. Kumar has over 16 years of experience in the hotel sector, with a particular emphasis on food and beverage operations.

Kumar graduated from Jaya College of Arts and Science with a degree in hotel and food management. He has proven to be an outstanding talent in retail operations, guest satisfaction enhancement, complaint handling, and customer service management throughout his career. In his prior positions, his capacity to manage teams, increase sales and margins, and put cost-cutting measures into place was essential.

Kumar worked for a long time at Hilton Chennai, where he held a number of roles, including restaurant manager and banquet manager, before moving on to Hyatt Regency Chennai. His noteworthy accomplishments during the epidemic include adhering to strict sanitary regulations, meeting financial targets, and winning several accolades for his exceptional work.

Kumar started working as an outlet manager at the Hyatt Regency Chennai in August 2022. In July 2024, he was promoted to food and beverage assistant director due to his exceptional performance. In his new position, he will oversee all food and beverage operations, create plans to raise customer satisfaction and ensure everything runs well in the department. His tight collaboration with the F&B management team will be focused on goal-setting, timetable coordination, and operational performance.
