Lemon Tree Hotels has announced its latest signing: Lemon Tree Resort in Mirik, West Bengal. The property will be managed by Carnation Hotels Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lemon Tree Hotels Limited, and is expected to open in the fiscal year 2028.

Located at an altitude of 1,768 meters, Mirik is renowned for its natural beauty, including tea gardens, forests, and a climate that attracts tourists year-round. The town's centrepiece is the Sumendu Lake, a popular boating and picnic destination. It is surrounded by the Kanchenjunga mountain range, which provides views. Mirik is also famous for its gardens, such as the Mirik Tea Garden, and its cool temperate weather makes it an ideal escape from the heat of the plains.

The Lemon Tree Resort in Mirik will feature 50 rooms, a restaurant, a bar, a meeting room, a banquet hall, a swimming pool, a fitness centre, and various public areas. Bagdogra Airport is approximately 55 kilometres away, while Siliguri Railway Station is about 50 kilometres from the property. The resort is well-connected by road, making it accessible by public and private transport.

Vilas Pawar, CEO of Managed & Franchise Business at Lemon Tree Hotels, stated, “We are thrilled to announce our further expansion in West Bengal. This new addition will complement our two existing properties and one upcoming property in the state, reinforcing our commitment to delivering exceptional hospitality and unforgettable experiences across the country.”
