The continuing heatwave in Delhi, where temperatures have risen to 45°C, prompted flight 6E 2521 to depart much later than its scheduled time of 2:10 PM. According to FlightRadar24, the flight took off about 6:15 p.m.

The flight’s intended destination was Bagdogra Airport, near Siliguri in West Bengal, and was scheduled to land at 4:10 PM. A representative for IndiGo confirmed the delay, noting the negative impact of high ground temperatures on flight operations. The airline emphasized its commitment to passenger safety and noted that efforts were being made to ensure a timely departure.
