Fern Hotels & Resorts Welcomes New Cluster GM for Maharashtra

Fern Hotels & Resorts has appointed Amit Kumar Sharma as Maharashtra’s new cluster general manager. With over two decades of experience in the hospitality sector in India and overseas, Sharma brings a wealth of expertise and a proven track record of successful performance across hotel operations.

Sharma joined The Fern family in 2016 and has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills and a deep understanding of the hospitality industry. He began his journey with The Fern Hotels & Resorts as the pre-opening general manager at Amanora the Fern, Pune, where he oversaw all facets of hotel operations, including directing and supervising day-to-day operations, monitoring service quality, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences and efficient hotel functioning.

In his new role as cluster general manager for Maharashtra, Sharma will be overseeing the overall management and strategic direction of 15 properties across the region, including Karad, Karjat, Kolhapur, Lonavala, Mahabaleshwar, Panchgani, Pune, Satara, Ichalkaranji, and Solapur. His responsibilities include providing leadership and guidance to individual general managers and their teams to ensure high operational standards, efficiency, and guest satisfaction. Additionally, he will develop and implement strategic plans aligned with the company’s goals to promote sustainable growth and profitability across hotels while ensuring compliance with brand standards, quality controls, health, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Sharma has previously held various roles with leading brands like Grand Hyatt, Intercontinental, Le Meridien, etc., where he demonstrated his leadership capabilities and ability to lead teams effectively.
