Qatar Airways' Summer Flights to Malta

Qatar Airways is resuming operations in Malta with four weekly flights starting 2 July 2025. The resumption to Malta will expand Qatar Airways’ network to nearly 50 European destinations.

Bookings are now open for travellers from Australia, China, India, Japan, and the Philippines who wish to explore the stunning blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea. Passengers can plan their summer holidays with Qatar Airways, travelling through Hamad International Airport—voted the World’s Best Airport by Skytrax in 2024—before arriving at Malta International Airport. During their visit, they can explore Valletta, the capital city, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as well as the sister islands of Gozo and Comino.

Similarly, travellers from Malta can benefit from Qatar Airways’ extensive network of more than 170 global destinations, including Australia, where it currently operates 42 weekly flights. Qatar Airways’ proposed partnership with Virgin Australia, pending final regulatory approval, will also boost connectivity.

The old capital of Malta, Mdina, offers a journey into its 4,000-year history through its mix of Rococo and medieval architecture. Mdina was the filming location for The King’s Landing from Game of Thrones, one of the most popular TV shows of all time.
