IndiGo Launches Daily Flights Between Jharsuguda-Mumbai

New IndiGo Flights Link Jharsuguda to Mumbai

IndiGo will introduce new daily direct flights connecting Mumbai and Jharsuguda, Odisha, starting March 1, 2025. This route is designed to improve accessibility, facilitate seamless connectivity, bolster inter-state travel, and promote economic development between cities.

Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, expressed his enthusiasm about the new addition to their network. He stated, “We are pleased to expand our operations further by launching daily, direct operations between Mumbai and Jharsuguda, Odisha. This new route marks IndiGo’s fourth direct connection to/from Jharsuguda, following Bengaluru, Delhi, and Kolkata. By connecting Jharsuguda with Mumbai, a critical hub for commerce and industry, we aim to position Jharsuguda as a key gateway for regional growth and development. IndiGo continues to be committed to providing affordable, on-time, courteous, and hassle-free travel experiences across an extensive network for our customers.”

Situated in western Odisha, Jharsuguda is becoming an important industrial centre. The city is mainly known for its metal and cement industries. It boasts flourishing sectors, especially thermal power plants and mining activities. Due to its rich diversity in demographics, languages, and cultures, Jharsuguda is frequently called “Little India.”
