Vistara was a joint venture between the Tata Group and Singapore Airlines. After the integration, Singapore Airlines will now hold a 25.1 percent stake in the newly unified Air India, strengthening its position in the Indian aviation sector.

A user expressed, “I am grateful to have experienced Vistara on its final day of operations—a brand that genuinely fulfilled its promise of a new feeling in travel. Vistara is one of the few brands that seamlessly aligned its promises with its delivery.”

During the in-flight announcements, the crew exhibited a sense of nostalgia and played the popular Bollywood song “Kal Ho Na Ho” as they landed. Many passengers referred to Vistara as the "finest" domestic airline in India and shared their best wishes for the successful consolidation of operations with Air India. Among several emotional posts, one user shared a screenshot of a Club Vistara email announcing the end of their services, captioning it with, “Vistara, why are you breaking up with me?”
