Air India's Airbus Deal Unveiled Air India has officially announced its orders for 10 wide-body aircraft and 90 single-aisle aircraft from the Airbus family. Additionally, the airline has selected Airbus" Flight Hour Services-Component (FHS-C) to support its growing wide-body fleet. Air India's latest aircraft order is now part of Airbus" 2024 order book. This follows a previous order in 2023 for 40 widebodies and 210 single-aisle aircraft. With this new order, Air India's total commitment to Airbus aircraft has reached 344, which includes the six widebody A900s that have already been delivered. The FHS-C services package aims to enhance the performance and reliability of Air India"s expanding fleet. This contract solidifies Airbus" role as the world"s leading provider of power-by-the-hour maintenance services for widebody aircraft. Air India"s ongoing fleet modernization program includes both aircraft acquisitions and service contracts.
