Orbit World Travel (NZ) Appoints Anita Hawthorne as Chief Executive Officer

Orbit World Travel NZ has appointed Anita Hawthorne as Chief Executive Officer, marking the first CEO appointment in the company’s 30-year history.

The appointment follows the company’s transition to a national operating model, bringing its regional offices under a single leadership structure while continuing its partnership with House of Travel Holdings.

Anita brings nearly three decades of experience across travel and customer-focused organisations. She has previously held senior leadership roles at Air New Zealand, Southern Cross Travel Insurance and Oceania Healthcare.

She is expected to focus on business growth and strengthening the company’s national operations while maintaining regional client relationships and expertise.

Anita will assume her role on 3 August 2026.
